London: T. Cadell and W. Davies, 1806. LARGE PAPER COPY with uncut fore and lower edges (leaf size, 345 x 260mm), pp. [449] - 742, [3- errata, index, publisher's adverts]. Title page and half-title pages both present, large folding map of Buckinghamshire with main routes coloured; large folding hand-coloured plate, 11 further engraved plates, all protected by tissue guards. Handsome, recnt half brown calf binding with marbled paper covered boards, gilt lettering and decoration to the spine, very good with minimal wear. Contents clean and tight, front free end paper excised; paper in very good condition, virtually without foxing or staining. Mapvery good. A very good copy of this fine book with the full complement of copper engraved plates. Bibliographic note: this work was usually issued with Bedforshire and Berkshire, the three counties making up Volume the First, but this Buckinghamshire volume appears to be a stand alone publication with Buckinghamshire only mentioned on the title page, though the general index also covers the other two counties.. First Edition. Half Leather. Very Good. Folio.
