Sepia toned frontispiece – with tissue guard which has become somewhat browned. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed decoration to the front panel and gilt coloured titles and decoration to the back strip. Gilt to the top text block edge. Red coloured place marker which is become quite fragile and frayed at the edge. An early translation of this Indian classic. Rubbing to the back strip corners and to the book corners. Light browning of the text block edges with offset tanning to the end pages with some foxing also present. Previous owner's name to the top right hand corner of the free front endpaper.
