New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1911. Haggard is famous for his adventure novels; one does not usually associate him with a spiritual fantasy such as this. This is a Near Fine copy of the First American Edition [stated "Published October, 1911"]. A small edition of 1500 copies, with 5000 published on the same day in England. Dark green cloth binding with titling in gilt on the spine and front cover. The bunny in question is also on the front cover, in gilt. There is a variant Holt binding without the gilt. Clean text; 165 pages, with a 12-page publisher's catalog [dated vii' 10] in the rear. There are twelve black-and-white illustrations by W.T. Horton and H.M. Brock. Hints only of rub to the tips and offset to the endpapers. Else a Fine copy, quite attractive. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Illus. by W.T. Horton and H.M. Brock, R.I.. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
