A smart first edition of this autobiographical novel from English writer and artist Denton Welch, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. First edition. An autobiographical novel describing a period of the author's life during the 1930s: his last term at school, and the following weeks living in Shanghai, China, where his father had a business. Written and illustrated by Maurice Denton Welch, a British writer and painter admired for his vivid prose and precise descriptions. In the original yellow cloth binding.
