Rare first edition illustrated 1906 hardcover with green cloth covered boards published by Thomas Y. Crowell & Company. Includes an introduction by Annie Russell Marble. Frontispiece illustration of Mt. Katahdin. Text has no writing, tears, or missing pages. Original owner's name and address on inside first page. Hinges are cracked but no loose pages. Mild staining to cloth covered boards and some fraying at spine and corner edges of cover. First edition, so issued without a dust jacket.
