Signed by Powell on the title page. Contains original mailing envelope in which it was sent to Roger Larson, MD, (1924-2013) who later went on to write "Controversial James: An Essay on the Life and Work of George Wharton James" published by the Book Club of California in 1991 and with a foreword by Lawrence Clark Powell. Larson cites Powell as his inspiration and the person who nudged him repeatedly to write the book. An interesting association copy. 15, [4 ads] pp. 24mo. Stiff orange wraps and clean within.
