Minor shelf/edge wear to dark blue cloth boards with gilt titles - corners and board edges lightly bumped. Minor shelf/edge wear, moderate soiling and age-toning to unclipped yellow paper DJ - now in mylar. Previous owner last name on FFEP. No other writing - all pages are clean and crisp. History of Central and Eastern Europe, follows the growth of its States throughout the length of the medieval period. Author provides a thorough study of the tenth and eleventh centuries which most authors of these regions give short shrift. Author Francis Dvornik, 14 August 1893 – 4 November 1975), was a priest and academic, and one of the leading twentieth-century experts on Slavic and Byzantine history, and on relations between the churches of Rome and Constantinople. Dvornik taught at Charles University in Prague, the Collège de France, and Harvard University. A handsome copy despite the DJ wear and Highly recommended. LOC SSS-21
