About This Item

(Santa Cruz, California): Mike Mandel, 1989. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Square 4to. Pp. 72. Preface by Edward W. Earle. Illustrated throughout with black & white and color photography. Bound in illustrated paper-covered boards. Covers a bit rubbed, with scratches on rear cover; interior clean throughout. The LA-raised conceptual artist and photographer presents four "exhibits," conceptually. His 1977 collaboration with Larry Sultan, Evidence, composed of file photographs from engineering, corporate and government agencies, continues to be viewed as a seminal study of the juxtaposition of society and society as viewed by institutions.
