About This Item
Singapore: Editions Didier Millet, 2008. 2015 Reprint. Paperback. New. 22-5-16. The author, Cheah Jin Seng while pursuing a distinguished medical career, has also found time to collect stamps and post cards to the extent that he has become one of the foremost authorities in these fields in Singapore and Malaysia. In this book Professor Cheah provides us with a profuse historical record of Malaya and Singapore in the early days of photography from his own collection. The 288 pages are divided into sections on The Federated Malay States of Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Pahang and Perak, The Unfederated States of Johore, Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan and Trengganu and the Straits Settlements of Malacca and Penang. (Singapore is excluded.) There is also a short section on philatelic aspects and a bibliography. New Softcover Weight: 1.3 kg. Post free within Malaysia, but, due to its weight, this book is likely to incur additional postal charges when posted outside Malaysia
