Contents in fine condition. Original yellow end-papers. In original green cloth boards, with gilt illus., showing some wear to outer casing at spine ends, a little darkened on spine o/w. vg. With small bookplate reading 'Duplicate - ex collection of John Hewitt, Bee Master, Sheffield, Eng.' to front paste-down. (Harding 222). The frontispiece depicts 'splendid [hand] coloured drawings of queen, worker and drone, 'magnified' and also life size' (Harding).
