Title Page dated 1897. 40 B&W Illustrations. Frontispiece shows Fanny having her shawl placed round her shoulders by Mr Crawford. Deep Red cloth cover with Blind embossed Floral Decoration to front and rear. Bright Gilt Lettering within Linear Border to front. Dull gilt lettering to spine. 428 Pages, 610g, 7 3/4" Tall. Some fading to spine colour (see photo). Slight edge wear at spine ends and corners. Old Illustrated Bookplate depicting a windmill, on endpaper. Spine leaning slightly. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall

Synopsis

Mansfield Park is a novel by Jane Austen, written at Chawton Cottage between 1812 and 1814. It was published in July 1814 by Thomas Egerton, who published Jane Austen's two earlier novels, Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. When the novel reached a second edition, its publication was taken over by John Murray, who also published its successor, Emma.
