Arranged according to contemporary systems of classification and described from perfect specimens in the author's own cabinet. Sixteen pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. Written by William Turton, an English physician and naturalist known for his pioneering work in conchology. Original green cloth binding. Externally, excellent with minor shelf wear to extremities. The odd mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean. Slight age toning and light spots to first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed
