Nisbet & Co. Ltd. London. 1923 3rd imp.. Tall 8vo. 9x6 ins. In olive green cloth covers with gilt to spine and blind embossed lettering to front. Pages rough cut. In very good condition. Spine slightly rubbed at ends. Old crease to front cover. Corners slightly bumped. Slight browning to endpapers with original bookseller label to front corner. Authors inscription to front endpaper and 3 loose signed-letters. Else a very clean and tight copy. 352pp. With b/w plate illustrations. Each chapter describes "a string of places, within the compass of a reasonable day's walk, in which some remains of the epoch dealt with are still patent. ". A look at Dorset. The author describes an aspect of Dorset history and gives a suggested walk.
