Signed on front free endpaper by Sousa's daughters, Jane Priscilla Sousa and Helen Sousa Abert, with inscription "To Mary Joyce, with deep appreciation" in Jane Priscilla's hand and dated December 1954 in Helen's. Both daughters mentioned on p. 344.

Octavo; xiv, 384pp. Photos and illustrations throughout. Illustrated dust jacket with $5.00 net price intact; book in blue cloth with gilt lettering and music notation illustration to front. Jacket shows a few smallow chips and tears along edges, but is crisp and clean overall. Boards sturdy and square. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.
