This book is in very good condition. There is minor wear on the dust cover and little to no wear at all on the front, back, spine and edges of the cover boards. This fine, 2nd edition of David Hockney's 'alphabet' drawings with short poems and essays by various authors (Joyce Carol Oates, Arthur Miller, John Updike, Iris Murdock, Susan Sontag, Seamus Heaney, etc.) was an AIDS fundraiser. The book is in fine condition with no flaws and the Dust Jacket has only a small crease on the front dust jacket bottom and the inside front panel price clipped (see photos.) Priced to sell!

Includes some of his earliest work in the Purdue university paper "Debris" and stories, cartoons, and reporting from The Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Daily News, the Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, Cosmopolitan, as well as sketches from the Art Institute of Chicago. Political cartoons (no index and some pages with multiples), probably more illustrations than pages.
