Titled and decorated in gilt to spine and front board, clean and strong in a bright dustjacket. A fine copy. 274pp. Internally clean. A studied and well researched semi-biography of Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock, possibly the most legendary US sniper in history, known to the Viet Cong as "White Feather" for the feather he wore in his boonie hat, and the recipient of not only military decorations, but also one of the highest bounties offered by the Viet Cong seeking his death. Hathcock survived the war, and went on to become one of the most highly respected marksmanship instructors at Marine Scout Sniper School in Quantico, Virginia.
