Featuring original illustrations by Maryline Poole Adams, this excerpt from Twain's tale opens with a frontispiece portrait of the author, which also appears on the front cover. Four full-page plates depict scenes from the text. Printed in red and black. A slight bump is present on the head of the spine; else fine in pictorial gray boards. (Bradbury p. 289). (2 7/8 by 2 5/8; 74x70mm).
