1905 two volume autograph edition (number 714 of 972) as pictured. Ex library with usual markings. Bindings solid. Rear hinge of volume 2 cracked. Blue boards with gilt lettering are soiled and show considerable wear with fraying at top and bottom of spine. Corners bumped. Gilt top edge of text block. Text tanned and slightly mottled but otherwise clean and unmarked. Many tipped in illustrations by Albert Sterner, several of which are loose but undamaged. One illustration in volume two has been reattached at the wrong page. No dust jackets. your purchase helps support our small village library. s (AR)
