New York: Grosset & Dunlap. Very Good in Fair dust jacket. 1924. Later Printing. Hardcover. 208 p. 19.5 cm. Copyright date only. 1940's printing. Sound and square binding in red, cloth-covered boards with portrait on upper board. Minor wear to the spine ends and corners. Front and bottom text block edges have a little foxing. Gift inscription on back side of the frontispiece. One tiny corner bump, affecting a few pages. Otherwise, the inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has heavy wear to the edges, spine and folds, including tears, creases and chips. A couple of spots have been cello tape repaired on the reverse side. Spine and rear panel are darkened. Some soil overall. 5050 price code on front flap. The fifteenth title in the series about Mary Jane Merrill and her adventures. Illustrated with a black and white frontispiece and three pen and ink drawings. .
