Wheat colored cloth with red titles, 271pp. Slight bowing to boards, discreet foxing t text block and mild rubbing to endpapers, discreet signature to rear endpaper. Dust jacket is unclipped (4.25) A presentable copy in mylar.
A novel about a heroic Catholic mendicant brother in France during the Calvinist Huguenot persecutions, featuring much beautiful prose detailing the Tridentine Mass. A nearly forgotten novel by a little known author recently rediscovered and reprinted by Angelico Press. Very scarce in dust wrapper.
