London: Jonathan Cape, 1957 ex-library, front hinge reinforced with cloth mesh over the map endpaper ( but can read the map through it), ex library stamps to fep, and prelims upto imprint, rear hinge also mesh reinforced, and with minor paper remains from issuing slips, dust jacket with some edge chipping, vertical edges of flaps trimmed, front flap loses no text but rear flap has been removed and replaced with plain paper, dust jacket reproduces a painting by the author, 256pp G+ reading copy, "Men work in a hiddden laboratory for the 150-year-old Master, involved in a plan for world unification. Described by the author as 'a simple adventure story with a suppressed moral'" Reginald 15251, (500 grams) . First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 12mo - over 6? - 7? tall. Ex-Library.
