New York: Pantheon, 1991. First Edition / First Printing. Hardcover. Fine in fine unclipped dj.. First Edition / First Printing. Hardcover. Second volume in the groundbreaking graphic novel written and illustrated by Spiegelman, which recounts the harrowing experiences of his father, Vladek Spiegelman, a Polish Jew, during the Holocaust. INSCRIBED & SKETCHED in 1991 by Spiegelman with original sketch of a mouse on verso of the front free-endpaper with "For Richard" written in a cartoon bubble overhead. The inscribee is Richard Abramowitz, an American film industry professional with 30-year career in film distribution and marketing. In 1992, "Maus" became the first graphic novel to win the Pulitzer Prize. 8vo cloth & boards. PLEASE NOTE that all our First Editions are also First Printings, unless we specifically note otherwise. All our dust jackets are protected in clear mylar covers.
