Migrating to South Australia in 1839 where Kate Wauchope, daughter, married Walter Komoll, son of German refugees. They had an enduring partnership, though terribly unsuitable and tempestuous, they eventually owned a boarding house in Kings Cross. The story spans two world wars, Russian Revolution, the Depression and eventually through to the author – their great-granddaughter. Rubbing to the back strip corners and to the lower book edges.
