First edition (only edition), containing "all the published maxima and minima of these stars, including date, Julian Day, observed magnitude, reference and comparison with an ephemeris. Also, a Supplement, which with the tables on pages 7 and 88 contains all the stars known to be variable on December 10, 1909. They contain 2,434 variables of which 514 are found in clusters. Adding to these 1,791 found in the Magellanic Clouds, we have a total of 4,225, of which 3,260, or rather more than three fourths, have been found at Harvard."
