The Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1907. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Signed. Tipped in is an autographed letter to a publisher, regarding her next manuscript, SIGNED as Anna K. Rohlfs by the author. The volume is bound in modern 3/4 brown Morocco over marbled boards, has 5 raised bands on a lighter toned spine, and the spine compartments are stamped in gilt; top edges are gilt, marbled endpapers. Illustrations by Alice Barber Stephens. There is considerable dampstaining which has caused discoloration to the spine and is evident on all leaves of the text block, both bottom and top margine and has caused wrinkling to the letter as well as discoloration to the frontis and its tissue guard. There is also some light bumping to the corners and a small inventory label is affixed to the bottom of the rear pastedown.
