About This Item
London: The Railway Gazette, 1921. Some tear to the edges of unclipped dustwrapper, minor bumping to spine ends and corners of purple boards, slight fading at top end of spine where dustwrapper is torn, but gilt titles on spine and front board all still bright. A previous owner's name and date (1947) inside front board, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this slim hard-cover book. No publication date shown, but introduction is dated September 1921. Looks at improving the movement of goods at railway yards, docks and goods depots using mechanical cranes, conveyor belts, electric hoists and similar. 132pp, 95 b&w illustrations and diagrams.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
