Salt Lake City, Utah: Deseret Book Company, 1974. Color illustrated book telling the story of the Mormons, geared for non-Mormons. What makes this copy interesting than most is that it was a presentation item to Dorothea Hopfer, who endowed the Dorothea Hopfer School of Nursing at Mt. Vernon Hospital, with her name appearing on the cover and on the presentation plate mounted on the first blank. The presentation plate is signed by Belle S. Spafford and Florence S. Jacobs. Belle Smith Spafford was the General President of the Relief Society of the Latter-day Saints for twenty-nine years. It it dated May 11, 1976. White cloth that very convincingly resembles leather, Ms. Hopfer's name on the cover in gilt, white moire silk endleaves, 76 pages. Near fine with just a bit of cover soiling, internally fine.. Signed. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
