First edition. Octavo. Signed by Richard Henry Dana Jr. on front free endpaper, "Rich H. Dana, Jr." Original full black cloth, blindstamped with a cross on front and back covers, gilt-stamped on spine. Front hinge starting as well as frontispiece. Closed tear on endpaper. Tips bumped, spine sunned and shows wear at top and bottom. Good.
