Three-volume set, hardcovers, no dustjackets, green cloth bindings, top edges gilt, the original paper labels on the spines are tanned and faded, the inner front hinge of Volume 1 has been tape reinforced but the binding is ok, the blank front end-papers have been corner-clipped at the top, overall a clean set inside and out with no major flaws, the contents are in fine condition, illustrated with beautiful frontis plates in each volume and one additional illustration in each volume, includes an Appendix .
