Faber and Faber,, 1931]. 8vo., First Edition thus, with coloured frontispiece, monochrome vignettes on title and half-title, 15 coloured plates, numerous monochrome illustrations and decorations in the text and coloured pictorial endpapers, small neat signature on blank preliminary; coloured pictorial cloth, red sprinkled top, uncut, a very good, bright, crisp, clean copy. Bright copy of the first illustrated edition, published a year after original publication. 3,500 copies were published on 17 September 1931 of which 780 were for sale in the US. The sheets of 300 copies were destroyed by enemy action in 1941. Keynes, A33d.
