Title continues: In reply to some of the assumptions and misstatements of the Mississippi River Commission, and also additional evidence sustaining charges made against that Commission in Senate Mis. Doc. No. 178, Fifty-Second Congress first session. Also giving many valuable statistics and historical references vindicating the outlet system as the best way to stop all overflows, stop the caving of banks, and deepening the low-water channels of the Mississippi River and its tributaries from their mouths to their navigable sources.
