Black and white illustrated dust jacket over black cloth with a black and white illustrated frontis and black and white illustrations throughout. Also contains photographic black and white plates. Moderate tanning to pages with pencil inscription and tape residue to front endpaper. Slight dog-eared pages throughout and mild tanning to text block edges. Boards have noticeable rubbing and edge wear with minor bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends as well. Unclipped jacket with noticeable edge wear and rubbing. Small tears to spine ends and corners with tape to interior. Rear is coming away from the spine as well.

Binding is firm. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Gilt remains bright. Moderate rubbing and scuffing overall. Book has a slight forward lean.
