Washington, D. C.: Men of Mark Publishing Company. Very Good. 1905-1906. First Edition. Hardcover. Paper labels on spine, top edges gilt, deckle edges. Tissue guards for the illustrations. Binding is tight. Some scuffing and edgewear to the covers. Small round stain to the endpapers of Volume I, with a one inch crack to the front hinge. Bottom corners of pages 1-16 stained in the margins. One inch diagonal edge tear to page 443/444 at end of Volume II from separating the pages. Overall a very nice copy! ; Thick 8vo 8" to 9" tall; xvi, 422, xvi, 444 pages .
