Berlin, Prussia: Burmester & Stempell, 1874 844pp. Tips and spine ends are bumped, rubbed, and frayed. Spine is sunned. Front and rear boards have scratches. Front board has a few light damp stains. Light to moderate soiling to rear board. Spine edge of front board has a 1" tear near the spine head. 2" crack to spine edge of rear board at spine heel. Spine is shaken. Dust staining and scratches to edges of text block. Staining, soiling, and foxing to both endpapers. Frontispiece tissue is heavily foxed and frontispiece is moderately foxed. Title page is detached but present. Damp staining to lower edge of frontispiece and first front endpaper. Pages have toning and light stains throughout text block. Hinges are open. a few signatures are starting to open. Due to thread pulled binding creases have formed at the spine heel of all pages. May have other flaws. Text is unmarked. . Reprint. Hardcover. Poor/No Dust Jacket.
