The fourth number of Kurt Schwitter's illustrated journal, the magazine of the Dada in Hannover.


The 21 numbers of Merz was published between 1923 and 1932. The present 4th number, with the subtitle "Banalitäten", appeared in July 1923. This issue contains nine illustrations, among them by Picasso (Sacipos), Hans Arp, László Moholy-Nagy, Kurt Schwitters, Arthur Segall, Theo van Doesburg, and texts by Schwitters, Tzara, Bonset (d. i. Theo van Doesburg), Arp and others.
