Royal octavo (9 3/4" x 6 1/4") bound in original publisher's brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine in original pictorial jacket. First edition. The twenty-five papers in this volume include the most recent work of many of the leading scholars in the field of Mesoamerican archaeology. Among the contributors are established figures such as Eric Thompson and Gordon Willey and also such younger works as William Rathje, Jeremy Sabloff and Barbara Price: the range of topics is similarly wide. Condition: Price stamped on front end paper, light edge wear at extremities, corners bumped. Jacket edge wear at extremities, corners chipped else very good in like jacket.
