Tall 8vo/26.5cm.Stringbound in gray printed wrappers, wrappers edgeworn and chipped, otherwise internally clean, tight and very good. The Mayor's presentation of the Comptroller's statement of the finances of the City in 1909. Very nicely illustrated. George B. McClellan (1865-1940) son of the famous Civil War general and presidential candidate, was Mayor of the City from 1904 to 1909 and presided over monumental changes to the City's landscape including the opening of the IRT Subway, the construction of the Chelsea Piers, the building of the Municipal Building and other still current landmarks.
