(price-clipped) [minimal external wear, but with quite a bit of underlining and occasional margin notation in the second half of the book, also some light dampstaining to lower rear cover, one-time owner's name and address on ffep; jacket has a few tiny chips, light edgewear, similarly (but very lightly) dampstained at lower rear panel]. (B&W photo plates, fold-out chart) From Harold Clurman's introduction: "These informal lectures delivered by [the author] to an audience of professional actors constitute a kind of codicil to the classics of the subject, the three books by Constantin Stanislavski." There are eight lectures in all. Lewis was a co-founder of the Actors Studio in New York, the leading training ground for Method actors. .
