A good copy in cream cloth boards decorated in gilt on the upper board and lettered and decorated in gilt on the spine. Bookplate. 166 pages. Numerous illustrations throughout + 40 plates at the end including three in colour. Colour frontispiece and further colour illustration of the Tara Brooch. An important and influential book which contributed to the revival of interest in Celtic art.
