About This Item
Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Staplebound. Good. There is much speculation on the publishing history of this long lived series. The foremost authority on Little Cookbooks is the Sliker Archive at MSU which describes this (j) 331 L.W. edition: "The front cover is black with orange lines to form diamonds in which are pictures of various foods. The cover wraps-around to the back. In the center of the back cover is a large blue diamond with a sketch of Metropolitan Tower." They estimate publication date of this series to have started in 1943 (Sliker 2079) which would make this copy circa 1941. Little cookbook as corporate tradition. Staplebound 13,4 x 19,8 cm., 64 pages. Nice copy despite rubbed edges and some general surface wear. Stain in top page margins of last few pages. Text is slightly yellowed.
