Illustrated end pages, showing "Mewingham Manor" and its environs, the colour and black-and-white illustrations throughout the book had been created by Laura Von Stetina. Colour illustrated laminated boards with purple and black coloured titles to the front panel and pale yellow coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, the same illustration as for underlying boards, with purple and black coloured titles to the front panel and gold coloured titles to the back strip. Colour photograph of author / artist to the rear fold over panel. The story of Edwina Von Stetinawho inherited Mewingham Manor on the death of her uncle Captain Bartholomew Katt. The young naturalist has chronicled the first year of her living in the Manor " ... as she discovers the secrets of Katt's lifetime work, the delightful miniature winged Cats called Flittins and mischievous tagalongs, the tiny Minis." – from the front fold over panel blurb.
