Signed. Author Gbowee lived through the Liberian civil war emerging as a leader who helped turn the tide and end the conflict. She's now a writer for Newsweek and other publications. The book and jacket are in fine, like new condition. The book was obtained from the estate of Aziz and Miriam Shihib, he being an important Palistinian journalist and the owner and editor of the Arab Star in Richardson, Texas. It is inscribed to Naomi, who is Naomi Shihib Nye, their daughter and an acclaimed poet and writer. The author has dated, inscribed and signed on the half title page.
