NEW YORK: Doubleday Page & Co., 1911. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. First Edition/First Printing. 1911. Rare copy of first American edition in red cloth boards with gilt lettering to front board and spine. Very good condition with medium age toning to cloth boards and a little darkening to cloth spine--hinges are lightly cracked but repairable. Interior is very clean with only the original owner's name in ink on front free endpaper. Glasgow won the Pulitzer prize for fiction later in her life and was extremely popular in the early part of the 20th century.
