London: Samuel Bagster and Sons. [c.1850-1860].. 4to. (23.5 x 17.5 cm). pp. ii + 50 + [2] + 1338 + xxx + [2]. Contemporary full dark plum morocco with blind decoration and double blind fillet to boards, spine with raised bands, blindstamped in compartments lettered in gilt, with brass clasp, inner dentelles gilt, all edges gilt. 13 engraved coloured maps, 1 folding chronological chart. Minor rubbing to spine and corners, contents clean and crisp. Generally an excellent example.
