Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1912. First American edition. Hardcover. Very Good. First American edition. Hradcover in grey-green cloth lettered in white and decorated with silhouette in dark green. Illustrated endpapers. 166 pp. Illustrated with plates in color and black and white. Very good, scattered foxing to the text and a bit of rounding to the extremities. Small ownership name top edge of the title page. Yoshio Markino was a Japanese author and artist who spent most of his career in London. Among his literary output were several autobiographical accounts; this book, originally published in England under the title "My Idealed John Bullesses" are his humorous observatioons on Ehglish women living in Japan.
