About This Item

New York, NY: Rinehart & Company, Inc.. Very Good. 1948. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Hardcover. B&W Illustrations; This book is in Very Good condition and is lacking the dust jacket. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some light bumping and wear. There is some ground-in dirt to the book covers, especially to the spine ends. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown page. "The Mohawk River is a 149-mile-long (240 km) [5] river in the U. S. State of New York. It is the largest tributary of the Hudson River. The Mohawk flows into the Hudson in Cohoes, New York, a few miles north of the city of Albany. [10] The river is named for the Mohawk Nation of the Iroquois Confederacy. It is a major waterway in north-central New York. In the early 19th century, the river's east-west valley provided the setting and water for development of the Erie Canal, as a key to developing New York." (from Wikipedia) .
