About This Item
London: Jarrold and Sons Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Twelfth Edition. 12mo (11 x 17cm). No Date Circa 1880? 98 pages + 2 pages of publisher's advert, b/w frontispiece plate, original brown end papers. Original green cloth binding with black stamped decoration and gilt lettering, very good with minimal wear and rubbing only. Contents clean and tight, no inscriptions, slight foxing. A very good tight copy. Seemingly a very scarce book - we were not able to find any other copies - none on Copac and not in the British Library. The title page states "Twelfth Edition. Seventy-Third Thousand." but this would seem to be a sales ploy and have no bearing with the truth; otherwise surely there would be many more about!.
