Royal octavo (9 1/4" x 6 1/4") bound in original publisher's blue cloth with yellow lettering to spine and cover in original pictorial jacket. First edition. As a political columnist for the Dallas Morning News, Banks expressed his opinions frankly and sometimes bluntly, even when the conflicted with the paper's editorial policy. Here, he leans heavily on his own observations and experiences by also on the view of opinions of such outstanding political figures as John Connally, Ben Barnes and Lyndon B Johnson, John Highttower. In this book Banks takes his readers behind the scenes in Texas politics. Condition: Corners and spine extremties lightly rubbed.
