Louis Wain The Monkey That Would Not Kill has its original blue cloth bevelled binding with a Louis Wain illustration of the monkey and a cockatiel bird to the front board and gilt lettering for the title and authors name. The boards are in Good condition being complete but with corner knocks; marks; wear to the edges and top and bottom of the spine; and fading to the spine. Louis Wain The Monkey That Would Not Kill has 115 numbered pages, all edges gilt, that contain two chapters as listed on the Contents Page which are The Monkey That Would Not Kill and Gum; and 16 wonderful Louis Wain illustrations which are complete as per the List of Illustrations to the front of the book. Louis Wain The Monkey That Would Not Kill frontispiece features the monkey sitting on a chair, which is followed by the Title Page again illustrated by the monkey. The frontispiece and the Title Page are separated by the tissue guard (browned). The pages are clean with browning to the plain white endpapers, a feint owners name to the top of the Half Title Page, and light occasional foxing throughout.
