The Third Chronicle of Brother Cadfael, of the Benedictine Abbey of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, of Shrewsbury. Brother Cadfael's life in the monastery is not as quiet as he may have expected. In the twelfth-century Brother Cadfael settled down to a quiet life in charge of the herbarium at the Benedictine Abbey--at age 60 or so--after a life of adventure. And his herbarium flourishes, with all sorts of medication for all sorts of ailments--but when a monk gets poisoned with one of these concoctions, Cadfael finds a web of intrigue--and a murderer. 192 pages. 12mo.
